Oh, god, yes. I've been fiddling around in my head with plans to yoink a cafeteria spoon & fork and mod them so they fold (and can fit in the average tupperware, for portability). This would be so much easier (and so much more likely to succeed).
Did some Googling...the pens were the winner of the "Dining in 2015" design contest. (http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/01/the-future-of-d.html) I certainly hope that we won't have to wait 7 years to see them gracing the ends of our writing utensils!
foldable, portable forks and and spoons are already available. they're pretty common to find insides Asian instant noodle packages and things like that.
...I just carry around chopsticks everywhere. the fork and knife would get pretty annoying to clean (chopsticks are easy to clean and disinfect. they're wipable), and they fit in a pencilcase-like thing without taking up much space at all. theoretically, wooden chopsticks would be even more convinient, but we're trying to save trees here.
LMAO..lol..haha..congratulations snively..so u get a 'permanent tourist' partner..it'd be nice to see the two of u roaming across campus with cameras in hand.
oh..i wnder how many people will claim to be 'roo' next year ;-)
